This week seemed very short with Monday off and Friday used up with SRI and MAP testing, however we fit in some good content and some team building as well. Above you'll see an overview of the topics we finished this week: estimating square and cubic roots, placing real numbers on a number line, and a review of factor trees. With our first quiz in the books, many students were able to demonstrate that they learned quite a bit these first two weeks. Remediation begins this coming Monday and some students will be encouraged to use that time to get extra help.
We ended our week with a Caring team egg drop challenge. Students had limited materials, limited time, and 2-3 teammates to work with in order to protect a raw egg from the damage of a 25' drop in the pond lobby. We were amazed to see that many different designs worked very well and the majority of the eggs survived the ordeal. Great job Caring team!
